Welcome! All new clients begin with three private sessions before joining group classes. This isn't just a formality — it's how we make sure your body is moving well and safely before you're in a group setting. You'll get personalized attention, learn the equipment, and build a foundation that makes every group class more effective. It's one of the best investments you can make in your practice.

Because Pilates done well is specific to your body. The method is built on a set of foundational principles that inform every exercise — and without that baseline, group classes are harder to follow and easier to do incorrectly. Three sessions gives us enough time to assess your movement patterns, identify anything that may need to be modified for your individual needs, and make sure you're set up to get the most out of every class going forward.

Membership: Enjoy ongoing access with monthly billing and discounted class rates. Perfect for consistent practice with flexible commitment and exclusive member perks.

Packages: Purchase a set number of classes upfront at a package rate. Ideal for those who prefer flexibility without monthly commitment. Packages expire within 6 months.

Choose membership for regular practice and the best value, or packages for occasional visits on your schedule.

Absolutely. We’ll have beginner-friendly classes and options in every session so you can build a solid foundation safely.

All memberships and packages activate when you take your first class, not when you make the purchase.

We offer a limited number of membership pauses each year to support your schedule.

Memberships may be paused for a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 4 weeks per calendar year.

Pause requests must be submitted in writing at least 7 days in advance and will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

Memberships cannot be paused retroactively.

Billing will resume automatically at the end of the pause period.

Additional pauses may be considered in the case of medical circumstances at our discretion.


We require at least 12 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a class. Late cancellations and no-shows will result in the loss of that class credit and are not eligible for refund.

We understand that unexpected situations arise, and exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for memberships, class packages, or single class purchases.

Class credits and packages are non-refundable and non-transferable. Expiration dates apply and will not be extended.

Memberships renew automatically and are billed on a recurring monthly basis. Membership fees are non-refundable once charged.

In the event of injury, illness, or other extenuating circumstances, account adjustments or extensions may be considered at our discretion.

Memberships renew automatically each month. Membership commitments are binding for the duration of the agreed term and may not be canceled early. To cancel a membership after the initial 3-month period, we require 30 days’ written notice submitted via email to tina@merkabapilates.com or through your account portal. By purchasing a membership, you agree to recurring monthly billing until canceled in accordance with this policy.
